CIT senior named “Outstanding Vocational Student”

Computer Information Technology Department senior Janelle L. Gifford has been selected as Old Colony’s “Outstanding Vocational Student Award” nominee for 2007. This statewide award program recognizes the outstanding vocational education students from the Commonwealth. The award recognizes the excellence Janelle has achieved in her academic studies as well as in the Computer Office Technology field.

Kawasaki donates equipment to Power Mechanics Program

– (1/22/07) The Kawasaki Corporation generously donated two engines, a large block 25 hp FH721V and a small block 6 hp FJ180 engine, to be used as training aids in the Power Mechanics Program at Old Colony Regional Vocational Technical High School. Old Colony to host state Cosmetology exam

– (1/22/07) Through the efforts of Cosmetology teachers Tammy Hoyle and Kimberly Lopes, Old Colony Regional Vocatinoal Technical High School has becomae as testing site for future Cosmetology teachers. The “practical” exam will be administered on Saturday, May 19, 2007, at 8:30 am. Both Mrs Hoyle and Ms. Lopes are state-trained protors for the exam.
