– (1/2/07)

Mr. Steven Miranda, a Culinary Arts teacher at Old Colony Regional Vocational Technical High School, was selected by the administration last year to participate in the statewide Massachusetts Association of Vocational Administrators’ Leadership Academy. As part of this program, Mr. Miranda attended numerous classes, including several weekends during the school year and summer. The Leadership Academy assists the participants to understand the various roles and responsibilities of an administrator.

Mr. Miranda, in addition to his efforts in the Leadership Academy, serves as Old Colony’s Co-Advisor for SkillsUSA. He is also an officer in the Southeast Chapter of the Massachusetts Vocational Association.

A true professional, Mr. Miranda was honored at the last District School Committee meeting. He was awarded a plaque citing his accomplishments in the MAVA Leadership Academy.
