The administration and staff at Old Colony Regional Vocational Technical High School are pleased to announce the nomination of a mathematics teacher, Mrs. Nancy Francis, as their nominee for the Massachusetts Teacher of the Year Program.

Mrs. Francis, a resident of Acushnet, was the overwhelming selection of the Old Colony professional staff. A consummate professional, Mrs. Francis has been recognized as a nominee for the National Teacher Hall of Fame Induction Program and is a favorite of the student body at Old Colony.

Superintendent-Director, David J. Ferreira, stated that Mrs. Francis continually provides outstanding instruction on a daily basis. She is a sincere, caring, and effective teacher. Mrs. Francis has served the District since 2000.
