Old Colony to host state Cosmetology exam

– (1/22/07) Through the efforts of Cosmetology teachers Tammy Hoyle and Kimberly Lopes, Old Colony Regional Vocatinoal Technical High School has becomae as testing site for future Cosmetology teachers. The “practical” exam will be administered on Saturday, May 19, 2007, at 8:30 am. Both Mrs Hoyle and Ms. Lopes are state-trained protors for the exam.

Faculty member recognized for Leadership Academy efforts

– (1/2/07) Mr. Steven Miranda, a Culinary Arts teacher at Old Colony Regional Vocational Technical High School, was selected by the administration last year to participate in the statewide Massachusetts Association of Vocational Administrators’ Leadership Academy. As part of this program, Mr. Miranda attended numerous classes, including several weekends during the school year and summer.
