Old Colony senior Timothy Blanchard recently began his term as the student member of the District School Committee. A Carver resident, Blanchard was elected as Chairperson of the Student Advisory Committee to the School Committee. The chairperson also serves as an ex-officio Member of the District School Committee.

On May 27, 2005 the Old Colony’s Machine & Tool Technology Department attended EASTEC “05” in Springfield, MA. The trip was sponsored by The Society of Manufacturing Engineers (SME). The Scholarship Committee at Old Colony Regional Vocational Technical High School has selected senior Jennifer L. Howes (Lakeville) as the 2005 recipient of the Bristol Stars AAU Scholarship. Jennifer received her scholarship at the June 2nd Annual Awards Ceremony. She will be attending UMASS Dartmouth in September where she will pursue a degree in nursing.

The Old Colony Administration is pleased to announce that all nine junior Health Careers students received their CNA certification recently after completing their written exam and competency test.
