Noted motivational speaker Paul Lewis spoke to Old Colony juniors, sophomores, and freshmen at the annual “Excellence in Effort” award ceremony on June 6, 2005. Mr. Lewis, a former professional football player with the New England Patriots and Seattle Seahawks, is the founder, president and lead trainer for Positive Approaches Inc., a consultant company in Boston and Providence. He congratulated the award winners and commended their motivation, effort, and leadership qualities. Mr Lewis urged Old Colony students to set goals, work hard, and to follow their dreams. He challenged the students to overcome obstacles and to not be afraid of assuming leadership roles in school and in life.
