Teacher & students attend UMass seminar

Three Old Colony students and English teacher, Paul Brodeur, participated in the International Student Leadership Institute held at UMass Dartmouth on May 26, 2005.

The philosophy of this program includes five essential objectives which are support, awareness, self-confidence, positive thinking, and values. The process of teaching this philosophy is through five connecting task reinforcers, including group process, communication, motivation, change, and leadership.

The area students who participated are Alexander Amaral (Acushnet), Timothy Blanchard (Carver), and Heather Cardinal (Rochester). The students felt that it was a productive day and acquired many useful skills to assist them in the future.
