NHS students attend annual state conference

Twelve members of the Old Colony’s Chapter of the National Honor Society attended the 7th Annual Massachusetts Fall NHS State Conference on October 6, 2008. The conference was held for advisors and members at the College of the Holy Cross in Worcester, MA.

The conference featured Ken Sherman, a financial consultant, as a keynote speaker for the student sessions, and David Cordts, the Associate Director of the National Office of the National Honor Society as a keynote speaker and presenter for the advisor workshops. Students also attended workshops on Stereotyping, Surviving Freshman Year in College, Importance of Credit, Financial Aid, What We Do Best, Fundraisers, and Adopt a Charity (American Red Cross).
