NHS members attend state conference

Six members of the Old Colony’s Chapter of the National Honor Society attended the 5th Annual Massachusetts Fall NHS State Conference on October 17, 2006. The conference was held for advisors and members at the College of the Holy Cross in Worcester, MA.

Students attended workshops on the “College Admissions Process (CAP),” “Being a Student Athlete,” “The Importance of Credit,” “Creative and Effective Fundraising Ideas,” “Service Projects,” “Habitat for Humanity,” and “Increasing Involvement.”

Students attending the conference were: Neil Andre (Assonet); Daniel Hurd (Carver); Alex Buckley (Rochester); and Garrett Dunham, Corey Beecher, and Kerri Kauranen (all from Lakeville).
