OC students win 4 SkillsUSA medals at 2007 state competition

The Old Colony Chapter of SkillsUSA was very successful at the State Skill and Leadership Conference, held on April 26-28, 2007, at Marlborough, MA. Competing against other vocational students at the state conference, Old Colony had 16 participants in 8 contests and captured 4 medals. The results were as follows:

  • Michael Cormier (Mattapoisett) – Bronze Medal – Computer Programming
  • Richard Pemberton (Freetown) – Bronze Medal – Carpentry
  • Jade Worthington (Acushnet) – Silver Medal – Office Computer Applications
  • Perry Wood (Rochester) – Gold Medal – Electronics Applications
  • Perry (pictured at right) will now represent Massachusetts at the SkillsUSA National Skills and Leadership Conference in Kansas City, Missouri, from June 25-29, 2007.
