Markham award goes to CIT senior

Computer Information Technology Department senior Timothy Blanchard has been selected as Old Colony’s nominee for the 2005-2006 Walter J. Markham Award. The award program is sponsored by the Massachusetts Association of Vocational Administrators. Tim is now eligible for statewide consideration based upon his leadership potential as well as his academic and vocational excellence.

Tim has been involved in many activities during his time at Old Colony. In his senior year, Tim was elected as chairperson of the Student Advisory Committee to the School Committee, thus making him a member of the Old Colony District School Committee. Tim has also been a member of the school’s Student Council for three years (secretary during his senior year), the Old Colony Peer Leadership Group for four years (president during his senior year), Web Team, and SkillsUSA for four years.
