The OC Metal Fabrication & Joining Technology program prepares students for positions as welders/fabricators. Our course is designed to provide students with key fundamental fabrication and welding skills and then apply those skills through project-based activities. Students spend hours honing their arc welding skills as well as working on unique projects that require the use of the most common fabrication processes used in the industry. The foundation of our program is built upon the Chapter 74 CTE Massachusetts learning frameworks which falls under the Manufacturing, Engineering, and Technology Cluster. All of our students have the opportunity to participate in our co-operative education program which allows them to become employed while still attending school for their academic classes. We have worked hard to build relationships with local businesses in order to gain employment for our students. Old Colony Metal Fabrication and Joining Technology students are highly sought out by these employers and we believe that is a testament to the culture of our school and our program!
