2006 Massachusetts Auto Dealers’ Competition

Seniors James Richards Jr. & Jason Gifford finished in 4th place!

 

 

Automotive seniors Gordon Boardman (Acushnet) and Stanley Tomkiewicz (East Freetown) won 5th place in the Automotive Technology Competition, a hands-on, statewide event that is co-sponsored by AAA and Ford Motor Company. The competition is open to students in Grades 11 & 12 and encourages students to pursue careers in the automotive technology field. The nationwide competition begins with a written exam for top students in high school automotive technology programs. As Old Colony’s two top-scoring students, Gordon and Stanley were paired together as a team at the automotive troubleshooting competition, (held in North Attleboro on 5/9/05).

 

Auto Department Student Awards (1991-2007)

(2001) Two automotive seniors qualified for the hands-on competition of the Ford/AAA Automotive contest. David Rebello (Lakeville) and Matthew Deneault (Freetown) represented OC at the April 25th competeition at South Shore Plaza in Braintree. The seniors were selected from over 200 competitors statewide.

1999

Junior Matthew Deneault, an automotive student from East Freetown, finished first in the state in the 1999 Massachusetts Automotive Dealership Association competition at the Bayside Expo on November 12, 1999. After finishing in fourth place in the written competition earlier in the year, Matt won the final exam portion of the competition with a solid performance. It was the second time that Matt has won the state competition.
