Moving to College Scholarship

Varies – There are 8 participating campuses

The Moving to College (MTC) Scholarship is the newest housing scholarship initiative within the Massachusetts Housing Scholarship Program. MTC provides an on-campus housing scholarship to Massachusetts public high school and HiSET graduates who are also an unaccompanied homeless youth. A MTC Scholarship supports a student’s transition to, progress through, and completion of a college education. The Massachusetts Housing Scholarship Program is housed at the Department of Higher Education (DHE) and aligned with DHE’s Strategic Plan for Racial Equity. Scholarships for up to 20 students are supported through partnership among the Departments of Higher Education (DHE), of Elementary and Secondary Education (DESE), of Housing and Community Development (DHCD), and the Executive Office of Health and Human Services (EOHHS), and with additional support provided by Regional Youth Service Providers and participating campus partners. Francis Ouimet Scholarship Varies
  • All Ouimet Scholarship candidates must have performed 2+ years service to golf as caddies, or in golf professional or course superintendent operations at any golf course in Massachusetts.
  • The candidate must also plan to attend an accredited institution of undergraduate higher education full-time.
  • Students may apply as seniors in high school or during their college career.

Columbus Citizens Foundation Scholarship Varies Candidates must have a minimum GPA of 3.5, a minimum of 25% Italian Heritage, and financial need February 20, 2023 – apply online
Journalism Education Foundation of New England Scholarship Varies must be a resident of New England, a senior in high school planning to attend college in Fall 2023, have a GPA of 3.0 or higher, and must demonstrate a serious interest in a career in journalism March 31, 2023 – apply online
First Citizen’s Charitable Foundation Scholarship $5, 000 graduating students who will be furthering their education in an accredited two or four-year college. To be eligible, the applicant and/or parent/guardian MUST be a member of FCFCU; and the student must have a minimum GPA of 3.0 April 1, 2023 – Apply online
