Beginning in 2010, the junior and senior students from the cosmetology department began participating in the SkillsUSA Techspo category.

This newer event is held during the Massachusetts State Competition. Students create a display item for the Techspo judges, which is placed on display and are awarded ribbons as if it is  “best in show at the county fair”.

Our students have spent a lot of time and energy brainstorming a theme for their mannequin or nail display and then creating their vision.  Great pride has been put into each student’s work and it shows! These completed displays are then photographed and documented as an addition to their senior portfolio.
