Two students were elected to serve on the Massachusetts Department of Education’s Southeastern Regional Student Advisory Council. Kelsey Pereira and Steven Verronneau, both from Acushnet, and students at Old Colony Vocational Technical High School were elected to represent the Rochester technical school from May 2007 through April 2008.

Ms. Pereira and Mr. Verronneau will be seniors at Old Colony in September. This is the thirty-sixth year of student representation to the Massachusetts Board of Education as required under Massachusetts General Law Chapter 15, Section 1E. The Student Advisory Council has a long and distinguished history in representing all high school students in the Commonwealth.
