Electrical Student Recognized in Honor of International Women in Construction Week

We are proud to share that Electrical student Anastasia Rose was recently recognized by Pereira Electric Corporation in honor of International Women in Construction Week. Anastasia is working at Pereira Electric as part of her Co-Op employment, where the company consistently reports on her outstanding performance. Anastasia is part of a growing number of young women entering the electrical trade and building careers in the skilled trades.

Old Colony’s fully accredited Electrical program prepares young women and men to enter the workforce and receive credit towards their Massachusetts Journeyman Electricians License. Students learn residential and commercial wiring, as well industrial controls and telecommunications wiring through over 1,800 hours of hands-on training and 300 hours of related classroom instruction.
