Old Colony conducted its annual Recognition Day for the school’s Excellence in Effort Award winners on June 4, 2007. A presentation was given at the activity event by Harry “Jay” Blake, founder and president of Follow a Dream. Mr. Blake’s motivation speech covered topics on overcoming adversity, personal strength, and perseverance. The student body was also treated to a barbecue lunch before the event.
