Special Services staff to participate in training

Consultant Ellen Honeyman will provide training and complete a focused program evaluation for Old Colony relating to the findings of the recent Coordinated Program Review and subsequent approved Corrective Action Plan. Special Education teachers and the Special Services Coordinator will participate in the training on upcoming Saturdays. Mrs. Honeyman will conduct a two-hour follow-up training in June to review newly developed District IEPs for compliance with Massachusetts Department of Education standards. In addition, Mrs. Honeyman will complete a focus program evaluation including an analysis of information regarding dropout rates and graduation rates for the District’s students receiving Special Education services. The report will be provided to the District no later than June 30, 2007. The Special Education Corrective Action Assistance Grant 252 will fund the training and evaluation.
