The Old Colony Chapter of National Honor Society recently voted to expand the opportunites for leadership training for members of the Class of 2008. The Honor Society members agreed to sponsor an Old Colony student in the 2007 Boys State Program this June. Old Colony Students already participate in this program sponsored by the Florence Eastman Post #280 of the American Legion.

The Honor Society members feel that part of their mission, as an Honor Society Chapter, is to provide leadership development opportunities for students at Old Colony. The Boys State Porgram is an excellent opportunity for developing leadership potential for young men.
