Students challenged by climbing wall

Through the efforts of the physical education department, Old Colony students had the opportunity to attempt to scale a rock climbing wall. The popular new athletic activity was made possible through the Massachusetts National Guard. The portable climbing wall is made available to schools throughout the Commonwealth by the National Guard who provides the instruction, equipment, and prizes. Old Colony students in all grades had this unique, physically challenging activity. The school’s participation was made possible through the efforts of physical education teacher Nancy Souza.
