Mr. David Lamontagne, a science teacher at Old Colony Regional Vocational Technical High School, was selected by the administration last year to participate in the statewide Massachusetts Association of Vocational Administrators’ Leadership Academy. As part of this program, Mr. Lamontagne attended numerous classes, including several weekends during the school year and summer. The Leadership Academy assists the participants to understand the various roles and responsibilities of an administrator.
Mr. Lamontagne, in addition to his efforts in the Leadership Academy, serves on Old Colony’s Curriculum/Assessment Committee and has conducted professional development seminars for the school staff. He is also the head football coach and an assistant with the softball team.
A true professional, Mr. Lamontagne was honored at the last District School Committee meeting. He was awarded a plaque citing his accomplishments in the MAVA Leadership Academy.
