Students pass Servsafe Sanitation exam

Old Colony Regional Vocational Technical High School recently completed the Servsafe Sanitation course offered by the National Restaurant Association to certify culinarions in the science of food service sanitation. As Board of Health regulations and guidelines evolve more and more, certification for food service professionals has become a requirement. Students and staff at Old Colony have recently completed the course and national examination. Very few schools offer this course, other than post-secondary institutions. The scope of the program begins with basic bacteriology and centers around HACCP (Hazard Analysis Critical Control Points), a method of following the food flow through food service establishment. Recently, 9 students and 4 instructors passed the Servsafe examination:
