Old Colony students win 3 medals at SkillsUSA State Competition

On April 28-30, 2005, Old Colony’s Chapter of Skills-USA participated in the state Skills Championships and Leadership Conference in Marlborough, Massachusetts. Fifteen students represented OC and competed against the finest vocational students in the state. Old Colony had a great showing, as its students took home a gold medal and 2 silver medals. Congratulations to all of the students who participated!

In the inaugural Web Design competition, the team of Jeffrey Golenski (senior) and Jeffrey Cormier (sophomore), both of Acushnet, took the Gold Medal. The two state champions will now compete for national recognition at the Skills USA National Skills Championships and Leadership Conference in Kansas City, Missouri, from June 20-25, 2005.
In Graphic Communications, Jessica Card (Carver) was awarded the Silver Medal.
In the Nursing Assistant and Orderly competition, Jennifer Howes (Lakeville) won the Silver Medal.
