The administration and staff at Old Colony are pleased to announce the nomination of an English teacher, Mrs. Nancy Castino, as their nominee for the National Teachers Hall of Fame Induction Program. Mrs. Castino, a New Bedford resident, was the overwhelming selection of the Old Colony professional staff.

A consummate professional, Mrs. Castino has been recognized as a Teacher-of-the-Year nominee and is a favorite of the student body at Old Colony. Superintendent-Director, David J. Ferreira, stated Mrs. Castino continually provides outstanding instruction on a daily basis. She is a sincere, caring, and effective teacher. Mrs. Castino has served the District since 1975.
